Peace requires leaders who can overcome a history and habit of bitterness with compassion and a vision of inclusive community. Israel and Palestine will not know peace until they have leaders who can bridge the political divide. The PeaceCamp Initiative has, since 2006, raised scholarship funds to bring deserving Jewish and Arab youth to Camp Susquehannock, one of America’s oldest and finest sports camps, where they have forged the bonds of respect, friendship, and trust that make peace possible.
